Application Guidelines

The best way to find the correct conversion kit is by providing us with the make and model number of the distributor on your particular engine. However, we realize you're not likely to have this information at your fingertips so here are some general guidelines to help you determine if a kit is available for your application. Please feel free to E-mail us with your information and we can verify the correct kit.

Allis Chalmers
Most Allis Chalmers tractors prior to the early 1960's used Delco ignition and were the spring-clip type cap. From the mid-1960's on they used Delco with the screw-down type cap.

Conversions kits for the front mount distributor used on early 2N, 8N, and 9N tractors come with a remote mount canister type coil to do away with the existing “square” coil.

Massey Harris
